Introducing Dr Adele Zito. Adele is working as part of the team but not yet taking her own patients.
Adele was born and raised in the coastal town of Kettering Tasmania. She obtained her medical degree from the University of Tasmania in 2007 and worked extensively at the Royal Hobart Hospital, as well as the Launceston General Hospital. Adele moved to Victoria to complete her Fellowship in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in 2015, where she worked at Monash Health, The Royal Women’s Hospital and Epworth Healthcare.
Adele specialises in both obstetrics and gynaecology and looks after a range of conditions. She particularly enjoys managing low to moderate risk pregnancies, and going on the journey with her patients from the antenatal period, birth and postpartum. In addition she is a certified colposcopist and has a special interest in the management of cervical dysplasia.
Throughout her career, Adele has maintained an interest in teaching. She regularly prepares junior doctors for their fellowship exams, as well as providing tutorials to medical students. Adele also had the opportunity to publish a book chapter on Hypertensive disease in pregnancy, as well as a number of other research and audit projects.
In her free time Adele enjoys cooking, particularly from her Greek-Italian heritage; walking; gardening and growing fresh produce and spending time with her partner, family and friends.
