As a part of your care with Grow Obstetrics you will have access to our practice Midwifes Mandi and Deb, who can provide support and education during your pregnancy.
Mandi and Deb have over 20 years of midwifery between them and are both Registered Nurses and Midwifes to Grow Obstetrics and Epworth Freemasons Maternity Hospital.
Our Midwives are available to answer any questions and concerns you may have. Anything they cannot answer as a Midwife; you will have the chance to speak to your obstetrician during your antenatal consultation.
During the course of your pregnancy you may need a monitoring of your baby’s heartbeat, called a CTG. This can be performed in the consulting rooms on the days our Midwives are present.
Here at Grow Obstetrics, we understand the importance of personalised care and this is why our midwifes will meet with you throughout your pregnancy. During these appointments you will have the opportunity to discuss your birth expectations with the midwife and your obstetrician. We offer a tour of the Maternity Unit at Epworth Freemasons, this often helps familiarise you with a birth room, postnatal room and the Special Care Nursery if required.
Our midwives are also available for support following your birth, and will call you at home following discharge. This gives you further opportunity to discuss any concerns you may have. This gives us the opportunity to give you advice over the telephone and make any necessary referrals if needed in liaison with your obstetrician.
Our specialists are supported by an experienced, warm and friendly administration team dedicated to providing you with the highest level of patient care. Our team is available Monday to Friday to answer your questions and ensure your pregnancy cares runs smoothly and efficiently.
